Getting The Royal Treatment

November 8, 2012

I can't believe that Brayden is one week old today! Time is already flying by...if this is how fast he is going to grow up, I need to find a way to slow time down!

1 Week Old

Our clinic gives each couple a "Congratulatory Dinner" during their In-patient stay. We were not sure what to expect, but when the nurse came in and asked if we wanted juice or wine, and how we wanted our fillet prepared, it sounded pretty promising!

Our Personalized Menu

We had our dinner last night, and our little man joined us right at the table. It was a three course meal. I had apple juice, and Justin had wine. There was soup, salad, a fish and shrimp appetizer, croissants, sliced potatoes, carrots and green beans, and the best part, A STEAK FILLET! It was an amazing meal! The best I've had in Japan thus far! For dessert we had a choice of coffee or tea and they gave us each a piece of 4 layer vanilla and strawberry cake. It was delicious!

What a great way to celebrate our new family together!

The clinic has treated us amazingly! I'm so grateful how patient and nice they are with us since we don't speak their language. I feel like we don't have that same respect in the States to foreigners. I'm sure nurses and doctors would be very annoyed with us for not being able to understand them. We are very very lucky!!
