A Susan in Japan Update

Well, no baby yet, but at least Mom is here so I can show her around to keep my mind off when the little man is coming. Here is the latest of what we have done in the last couple of days...

On Saturday afternoon we headed downtown Hachinohe where they were having a festival. They closed down the main street and had many food venders, homemade items, and a stage that traditional Japanese dancing and singing was being performed.

That night we headed back downtown to "Ramen Alley" for dinner. Ramen Alley is a small alley way that houses many little huts that serve there own specialty food. We ate miso ramen and three different kinds of gyozas.

Just got our ramen and gyozas.

Checking out the fresh crabs
She was tempted to try the octopus
On Sunday Mom and I went to the fresh fish market while Justin was at practice. Mom got to experience all that living right off the ocean has to offer! Lots of interesting items to look at!

Monday afternoon we took a drive on the coast and checked out the ocean. It is beautiful this autumn!

Mom over looking the coast

Justin looking thrilled to be sightseeing with us!
Hopefully Baby Fletch decides to come by tomorrow, because I got a cute Halloween costume for him! If not...we will just have to celebrate Halloween a little late!
